Dr. Carole Anne Hapchyn

Dr. Hapchyn is an infant and early childhood psychiatrist who has provided assessment and treatment for infants and preschool children with mental health and developmental disorders for 30 years. She was a psychiatrist at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. She is the Past President of the Alberta Association for Infant Mental Health, a society for the education of clinicians and advocacy for infant mental health. Dr. Hapchyn is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Brandene Lorrain

Dr. Lorrain is an infant and early childhood psychiatrist who has worked collaboratively with various multidisciplinary infant teams in Edmonton since 2008. Prior to that she worked with infants, children and adolescents in Red Deer, Alberta for seven years. Dr. Lorrain has been providing innovative infant mental health consultation services to the Royal Alexandra Hospital NICU since 2012 and David Schiff NICU since 2015. Dr. Lorrain is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry.

Dr. Mona Nematian

Psychiatrist, Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health

Dr. Nematian completed her medical education in Iran, where she initially practiced as a family doctor. Pursuing her passion for psychiatry, she went on to specialize in the field of General Psychiatry at the University of Alberta. Subsequently, she further honed her expertise through a two-year subspecialty program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the same institution.

Currently, Dr. Nematian is dedicated to advancing her knowledge and skills in Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and Genetic Syndromes through a fellowship at the University of Alberta. Her commitment to comprehensive mental health care is evident in her roles at the Learning and Developmental Clinic, Genopsychiatry Clinic, at East Edmonton Health Centre as a child and adolescent Psychiatrist, with a focused practice on Autism and other Neurodevelopmental disorders in addition to Elm Tree Clinic. She joined Elm Tree Clinic upon completing her subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2023.
